Yes, our Scout group will be 75 years old this year, and we thought we would celebrate with a Thanksgiving Service which was held on the afternoon of Sunday October 8th - 2pm with Fr Kevin leading the service itself at Holy Family, followed by tea and coffee served in the Parish Hall with a display of photographs. It was a great occasion with much laughter and memories!

We've been sent some photos which go back quite a few years. Do you know other people in the photos? Do you recognise a younger you?

Cast your mind back and remember the fun you had. Please come to the reunion and meet up with others.

What are the years these were taken?

Holy Family Scouts – The Parish’s Scout Group has continued to thrive...
 Holy Family Scouts
And now requests to join are increasing and, like Scouting everywhere, we urgently need more Leaders and Helpers. Once again we need to appeal to the Parish for volunteers to help run the Group. It’s been a few years since we last did this.

We know Volunteering can seem daunting but we also know that it’s greatly rewarding and huge fun for those involved. If you think you can help, please contact us. If you know anyone interested, please pass this onto them. We’re open to anyone over 18 who wants to make a difference, male or female, young or old. You don’t have to have been a Scout before.

Everyone has skills to share and Scouting is an excellent way of gaining skills and boosting a CV. We follow the Church’s and Scout Association’s Safeguarding policies, including carrying out DBS checks for all our leaders and helpers.

You can find us at any of our Thursday night meetings in the Parish Hall and Scout Hut. Alternatively, please feel free to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or to ring Sean Smith (01704 531151) or John Simpson (01704 535948).
